    The short answer is maybe. Make sure you are choosing an event with a proven track record. The event should attract people you would consider potential customers. But it is not enough to set up a booth. Make sure you have activities for the kids, information and any possible ways to interact with people.   1. The first place to start is planning. Do you have a marketing plan for your business? Does it include a budget, important dates throughout the year, events and promotions? It has been proven time and again that without thought and planning the chances of success diminish. The marketing plan is just as important as the overall business plan as one does not wholly exist without the other. Our approach is to block out time with our clients and sit down with a calendar of the year. To make it more manageable we suggest breaking out the year into quarters. This will help identify critical time sensitive dates within the year. Once this is accomplished a plan of attack for each campaign can begin.
