Name and Shift: Middays with Miss Joni
( 10am to 3pm)
Favorite thing about my job.  Well, I would have to say that my favorite aspect of my job is the simple fact that I am actually paid (who would have thought) to listen to awesome music all day long, dance around like a maniac, sing off key and of course talk…Finally something I am good at!
Best song on the radio right now

I absolutely love K.T. Tungstal’s “Black Horse and The Cherry tree”…but honestly I like any song that makes me shake my “groove” thing…yes, yes, I love to dance.

Favorite group or artist  Collective soul is my all time favorite band! However, if you promise to keep a secret I will tell you a secret…the rocker girl in me loves heavy metal.
Hobbies and or past times:

Believe it or not my past times don’t include dressing up in leather pants and painting my eyes black while creating mosh pits in my living room. Even I have a soft side…I like to do yoga and lots of it, I knit, and I even make birdhouses. Oh who am I kidding? My favorite past times are alphabetizing my metal CD’s, playing with my rock star action figures, and dressing my dog up in Kiss costumes. ..What can I say? My neighbors think I am a freak and maybe their right.

Favorite concert :Kiss was my first real concert so that was pretty darn cool…but I also have to admit that seeing The Goo Goo Dolls at the N.D. state fair and ending up covered in mud from my head to my toes was a lot of fun as well. What can I say? I like to get “dirtay”.
Favorite TV show

I am a big fan of “The New Adventures of The Old Christine”. However, I also enjoy VH1 Classics on Friday nights…it’s full of heavy metal! Pretty much anything that makes me laugh…good ol’ fashioned belly laughs make the world go round my friends.

As A kid I was like…

Well, I was a nerd, a geek, a dork, a weirdo…whatever the "cool kids" call it now in days…I was defiantly not cool. However, now I think I am the coolest chic alive…well, next to Joan Jett of course.

What got me into radio business?  To be honest I just sort of fell into it. I was the only metal girl in the small town in North Dakota where I grew up and the local station needed someone who knew a lot about metal…so hence the job in radio 9 years later.
One person dead or alive I’d like to meet or have met…

Hmmmm, lets see I have been privy to meet some "rock stars" in my day, but for this one I am going to go in the complete opposite direction and say I would like to meet Aristotle or perhaps Socrates…someone with which I could have an intellectual conversation...did I mention that I am also a genius?

The last CD I bought I just bought Undertow by Tool…
